Joint monitoring visit Organized by ENSSURE

ENSSURE organized a joint monitoring visit on 1 March 2019 for the stakeholders to the workplaces where the ENSSURE trainees and apprentices are placed.

The main objective of the visit was to interact with trainees and their supervisors to assess the quality of the training delivered by the ENSSURE project and to collect feedback for further improvements of its training programmes to increase market-acceptance and employability of the graduates.

The visiting team included Binayak Shah, Sajan Shakya, Yuvraj Shrestha and Tek Mahat of Hotel Association of Nepal, Mohan Katuwal, the president of Federation of Grill and Steel Fabricator’s Association Nepal, ENSSURE Project Manager and CTEVT Director Tek Bahadur Malla, CTEVT’s Tailendra Acharya and Deepak Aryal and ENSSURE PSU staff including the team leader Subas Subedi.

The team visited Hotel Ambassador (Lazimpat), Morang Auto Workshop, Himal Metal Industries (Basundhara) and LSG Sky Chefs (Tilganga).

During the interaction, the industry representatives expressed their satisfaction about the quality of the training and commended the trainees for striving for better performance. While acknowledging that the industries do have to give some time to them to guide in the beginning, they added that the trainees are bound to have a good professional life once they completed their training. They also pledged to continue taking in the trainees and apprentices and expressed willingness to collaborate in the future too.

ENSSURE Project Director Malla, expressed commitment for improving the quality of the training and urged for continuous collaboration with the business and industries to establish the workplace-based training system in Nepal.
