Orientation cum pre-proposal conference held

An orientation and pre-proposal conference for the Request of Proposal on short training was organized by the Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training in Bhaktapur on 15 March 2017.
The programme was organized to introduce the Enhancing Sustainable Skills for Rewarding Employment (ENSSURE) project to the project stakeholders including training providers and business & industries. It also aimed to acquaint the same stakeholders of steps and requirements while submitting the Request for Proposal on short course training.
Welcoming the participants, the ENSSURE’s programme implementation unit (PIU) leader, Project Manager and CTEVT’s Training Division Director Mahesh Bhattarai, said that the project has brought forth some new ideas and its successful implementation required support from all three sides viz. trainees, training providers and the industries.
Subas Subedi, ENSSURE programme support unit’s team leader, shared the salient features of the project while welcoming all to approach the program support unit for any kind of query regarding the project. Similarly, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation representative Dr Usha Bhandari said that currently, there were shortcomings on the side of training providers like the instructors not demonstrating to the trainees.
Deputy Project Manager of program implementation unit Kushmakar Bhatta, then, highlighted the requirements while submitting the proposal for training. A session of queries followed his session and the ENSSURE team responded to them.
