Workshop on Rapid Market Appraisal Organized

ENSSURE organized a workshop on Rapid Market Appraisal (RMA) for the training providers who were shortlisted to submit a technical proposal for the third round of EVENT II training.

The participants were provided information on general information of the RMA, its importance, how should the training providers conduct the RMA and present the findings in the report to prepare the technical report proposal.

The participants also got involved in roleplays creating the scenarios the training providers face in the course of the training and job placement.

The program began with the welcome speech of EVENT II project director Dahal urged the participants to internalize the value of the RMA as it will help to find out the occupations that have higher market demand and thus decide the success of the training.

He also explained the link among ENSSURE/Helvetas, EVENT II and Ministry of Education and stressed on the important monitoring role of ENSSURE/Helvetas.

Krishna Prasad Dhungana explained that out of 122 training providers submitting EOIs, 106 were selected. He also asked the training providers to conduct RMA properly for the successful training and while doing it, develop a good rapport with local governments and other key stakeholders of the society.

During the discussion, the training providers expressed that this orientation should have been held before the submission of the EOIs. On this, the EVENT PS pledged to consider it in the next round.

A total of 13 training providers out of 21 shortlisted for the first time, attended the training. EVENT II Project Director Keshav Dahal, Deputy Project Director Sudarshan Marahatta and Krishna Prasad Dhungana along with ENSSURE/PSU members were present at the workshop.

The program was facilitated by Monitoring Officer of ENSSURE/Helvetas Ganga Bahadur Bishwakarma and closed by Deputy Project Director.
